What does this program actually
do?
WallpaperCamTM brings the world of webcams
to your desktop - with live update.
It provides a huge list of high quality
webcams from all over the world to choose
from and puts the selected one on your
desktop background as windows wallpaper.
What's brand new about it is, that it
will update your wallpaper constantly,
so you have a window to the real world
on your desktop.
You may specify the update interval
yourself. A suggested update time span
comes with each webcam you select. You
may specify any other timespan in seconds.
The suggestions are based on the individual
update intervals of the selected cam.

What
is a wallpaper cam?
WallpaperCam simply means that your desktop
background (wallpaper) retrieves the pictures
from webcams, it's not really a camera.
Webcams are cameras installed anywhere
in the world, which do send photos over
the internet at a given time interval.
Let's say, a cam takes a photo every 2
seconds and does publish it on the internet.
WallpaperCam takes these pictures and
converts them to desktop wallpapers, so
you can see them as background on your
screen, behind your desktop symbols. Without
your intervention necessary, it does always
update the wallpaper with the newest picture
retrieved from the selected cam. You may
specify the update timespan yourself in
the settings. |

Will Wallpapercam cause any costs except
the purchase price?
No! Wallpapercam does only connect to
free internet resources, free webcams,
that do not charge anything. After purchasing
wallpapercam, it will not cause any additional
costs to you, except the costs for your

provided when you are using the program

WallpaperCam compatible with my operating
system?
In case you are using any windows operating
system, the answer is Yes. WallpaperCam
does run under all Windows operating systems. |

my privacy affected in any way by the
use of WallpaperCam?
No, Wallpapercam does not collect any
personal data. Your installation of WallpaperCam
is anonymous, the download and connection
to individual webcams is not monitored
in any way - no connection to your person,

other identifiable information is collected.
Our servers will only collect anonymous
numbers of requests of the cams, for statistic
and ranking reasons. |

Do
I need an internet connection for the
operation of WallpaperCam?
Yes and no. Suggested is a flat, always
open internet connection, so the program
can update the wallpapers as specified.
However, it's not a problem, as the program
sits in the system tray, while you have
no open internet connection, it will just
wait and update the wallpaper as soon
as internet access is available. |

I
shut down wallpapercam and now I do not
get updated wallpapers anymore.
When you close the program via the close
button in the upper right corner, it will
still be available in your system tray.
When you shut the program down via the
shut down button, it will not update nor
ask for internet access any more until
the next launch. Depending on your settings
(Launch on startup or not), it will launch
when you start your computer. In case
this setting is disabled, you need to
launch wallpapercam manually via doubleclicking
the desktop icon or choosing it from the
startmenu. |

The
system is always asking me for internet
access? What happens?
When active, wallpapercam tries to update
the desktop wallpaper depending on the
update interval specified with the selected
cam. If your operating system settings
are set to ask you to establish an internet
connection, every time a program asks
for access, wallpapercam will do the same.
Either you close the dialog every time,
or you grant access to the internet or
you shut down wallpapercam until the next
startup of your computer. |

Will
my Computer slow down because of the live
update of wallpapers?
Not really. While WallpaperCam does load
the images from the internet depending
on the update interval specified in the
settings, this does not cause a lot of
bandwidth usage for average internet connections,
you will most likely not feel any difference… |

WallpaperCam available for Apple/Macintosh
computers?

Which
kind of webcams are supported? Are live
streams possible?
WallpaperCams support classic webcams
only, which send single photos/pictures.
Live streams, streaming media of any kind
are not supported. This would lead to
a bandwidth usage far beyond possibilities
for a desktop background. It would simply
consume too much resources.

Can
I add my own WebCams or ones not on the
list to my personal WallpaperCam?
Yes! You may add any webcam that you find
to the list with ease, with your own description.
It will be stored on your own computer
only. If you wish, you may suggest the
webcam for inclusion into the WallpaperCam
database with a single click.

How
can I deinstall the program, in case I
don't want it anymore?
Should you decide to not buy the program,
you may deinstall it completely by choosing
Uninstall from the application
folder in your startmenu or by accessing
Start->Settings->Software
and selecting WallpaperCam there.
